Overview The purpose of this CPD is to understand the legal obligations of both landlords and tenants where the Residential Tenancies Act does not apply to the tenancy agreement. I found this lesson very informative! Shaun gave a clear understanding of the differences between the RTA and CTA, and when to use them. It was interesting to see that he set up anonymous polls during the lesson to keep interaction. Although I didn't get to answer the poll as my membership began after the recording, I did answer the questions by myself. I wrote notes along with the names of the cases he mentioned in the lesson as I can see them being useful in the future when I practice. Shaun allowed time at the end for questions in which some did clarify any I had in mind. I hope to join the next lesson live as I continue to learn the OPA site, but thank you for having the recording available to watch at a later date. I highly recommend this video for anyone wanting to learn a little bit more about RTA exemptions tenancies, just want to refresh their memory or perhaps add a few cases to their case portfolio.
